Believe<\/a>-owned DIY distribution platform TuneCore has launched operations across Latin America.<\/p>\n

TuneCore LATAM will support artists in Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Peru, Chile, Brazil, Domican Republic, Puerto Rico and Spain.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The move follows the launch of the company’s operations in Africa<\/a> last month.<\/p>\n

TuneCore LATAM will be headed up by Bruno Duque, who started his career at Sony Music in Los Angeles in the Latin Music Division before segueing into other areas of the industry.<\/p>\n

Before joining TuneCore, he was marketing manager at iMusica, the leading digital content distributor in Latin America, where he focused on licensing and label relations.<\/p>\n

For the past six months, he has been leading TuneCore Brazil and will now expand his remit to the wider region.<\/p>\n

Duque will report to Faryal Khan-Thompson, Vice President, International, who joined the company<\/a> in December.<\/p>\n

TuneCore distributes independent music to more than 150 digital stores and streaming services, including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, TikTok, Claro Musica and Deezer.<\/p>\n

The company now boasts eight fully localized websites and 13 language options including Spanish and says that it pays out more than $1 million to artists each day.<\/p>\n

In December, the company confirmed that it has surpassed the milestone of\u00a0paying $2 billion<\/a>\u00a0in total to independent artists since it was founded 15 years ago.<\/p>\n

TuneCore expanded into\u00a0India\u00a0<\/a>as well as\u00a0Russia and Brazil<\/a> last year.<\/p>\n

In conjunction with the announcement, TuneCore LATAM has launched #AS\u00cddeIndependiente in celebration of the company\u2019s 15th anniversary earlier this year, offering all independent artists 25% off the first year\u2019s distribution of a single or album with the code, TUNECORELATAM.<\/p>\n
