Dan Goldberg, Senior Vice President at Warner Music Artist Services (WMAS), is exiting the company after 12 years.<\/p>\n
Goldberg has served as SVP of WMAS since March 2014, a role in which he has overseen Warner Music Group’s e-commerce, tour merchandising, VIP Experiences, ticketing, and fan club businesses.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/span> Goldberg announced the news of his departure in an email sent to colleagues today (June 28).<\/p>\n In the email, obtained by MBW, the exec writes that he’ll be pursuing an “exciting new opportunity” and that his last day at WMG is Friday (July 2).<\/p>\n Prior to his appointment as Senior Vice President of Warner Music Artist Services in March 2014, Goldberg was Vice President at 360 Operations, a role he started in February 2013.<\/p>\n He was previously Senior Director, New Business Development at Warner Music Group-owned Roadrunner Records for over three and a half years.<\/p>\n Before joining Roadrunner, New York-based Goldberg worked as an Entertainment Attorney at the Davis Firm.<\/p>\n His career also includes previous roles at Truth and Soul Records, Fabeats and Pilot Light, which he co-founded.<\/p>\n “I\u2019ll be leaving WMG this Friday for an exciting new opportunity that I\u2019ve decided to pursue (and will share with you in the next few weeks).”<\/p>\n Dan Goldberg<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Goldberg’s email reads: “After 12 years helping to build the most passionate, creative and best merchandising, experiences and e-commerce global team in the music business in partnership with Matt Young, I\u2019ll be leaving WMG this Friday for an exciting new opportunity that I\u2019ve decided to pursue (and will share with you in the next few weeks). It\u2019s been a pleasure!”<\/p>\n Goldberg’s depature from Warner isn’t the only recent high-profile exec exit from a major record company in the field of e-commerce and merch.<\/p>\n
