Superstar artist Dua Lipa has bought back the rights to her songs from TAP Music Publishing.<\/p>\n
The publishing division of TaP confirmed that it sold the rights back to the artist in a short statement, saying: \u201cWe wish Dua all the best for the future.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Anna Neville, co-President of TaP Music, added: “This is an exciting time for our publishing company – we are expanding our services and teams globally and continue to add talented writers and artists to our already stellar roster.”<\/p>\n The news arrives just under two years after Dua Lipa split with Tap Management<\/a> after working together for more than eight years.<\/p>\n TaP’s management roster includes the likes of Lana Del Rey, Ellie Goulding and Noah Cyrus. Its publishing clients include Larry Heard, Yaeji and Dermot Kennedy. TaP operates a record label venture with Universal Music Group and a publishing venture with UMPG.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n “This is an exciting time for our publishing company – we are expanding our services and teams globally and continue to add talented writers and artists to our already stellar roster.”<\/p>\n Anna Neville, Tap Music Publishing<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Grammy-winning Dua Lipa severed<\/a> ties with TaP in early 2022 after being with the firm for over eight years.\u00a0 She signed with the London-based company in 2013 when she was reportedly working at a cocktail bar.<\/p>\n Dua Lipa\u2019s father, Dukagjin Lipa<\/a>, has managed the artist since then.<\/p>\n Following her departure from Tap, Dua Lipa has not released a full-length album. Her 2020 album Future Nostalgia<\/i> spawned hits like Levitating, Don\u2019t Start Now <\/i>and Break My Heart. <\/i><\/p>\n Future Nostalgia <\/i>followed her self-titled debut album in 2017, which featured hits like New Rules<\/a>, <\/i>One Kiss, IDGAF and Electricity<\/i>.<\/p>\n Throughout her career, Lipa has collaborated with artists such as Elton John and PNAU for Cold Heart<\/i>, Megan Thee Stallion for Sweetest Pie<\/i> and Calvin Harris and Young Thug for Potion. <\/i>These tracks have all charted on the Billboard Hot 100.<\/p>\n Her most recent release was Dance the Night<\/i>, featured on the Barbie soundtrack, which climbed to No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100. The track is now close to achieving 500 million streams<\/a> on Spotify.<\/p>\n\n
