Shelli and Irving Azoff, and the Azoff family, have teamed up with Live Nation and AEG Presents to host two benefit concerts to raise funds for communities devastated by the ongoing wildfires in Southern California.<\/p>\n
Among the headliners for FireAid<\/strong>, as the concert has been dubbed, are Billie Eilish<\/strong> and Finneas<\/strong>, Earth, Wind & Fire<\/strong>, Gracie Abrams<\/strong>, Green Day<\/strong>, Gwen Stefani<\/strong>, Jelly Roll<\/strong>, Joni Mitchell<\/strong>, Katy Perry<\/strong>, Lady Gaga<\/strong>, Lil Baby<\/strong>, P!nk<\/strong>, Red Hot Chili Peppers<\/strong>, Rod Stewart<\/strong>, Sting<\/strong>, Stephen Stills<\/strong>, Stevie Nicks<\/strong>, and Tate McRae<\/strong>. Additionally, Dave Matthews<\/strong> and John Mayer<\/strong> will perform together for the first time.<\/p>\n Other participating artists will be announced shortly, FireAid\u2019s organizers said in a statement on Thursday (January 16).<\/p>\n Both concerts will take place the same night \u2013 Thursday, January 30 \u2013 at the Intuit Dome<\/strong> and the Kia Forum<\/strong>, both in Inglewood, L.A.<\/p>\n Tickets go on sale this coming Wednesday (January 22) at noon Pacific time, via Live Nation\u2019s Ticketmaster<\/strong>.<\/p>\n For those unable to attend in person, the concert will be screened at select AMC Theatres<\/strong>, and streamed on Apple Music<\/strong> and the Apple TV app, as well as on\u00a0Max<\/strong>, Netflix<\/strong>\u2019s Tudum, Paramount+<\/strong>, Prime Video<\/strong> and the Amazon Music Channel, SoundCloud<\/strong>, Veeps<\/strong>, and YouTube<\/strong>. It will also be broadcast by iHeartRadio<\/strong>\u2019s 860-plus radio stations, and LA station KTLA<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Details and updates can be found on the event\u2019s website<\/a>.<\/p>\n The funds raised from the concerts will be distributed under the guidance of the Annenberg Foundation<\/strong>, which provides funding to non-profit organizations.<\/p>\n Among the event partners announced so far are American Express<\/strong>, Intuit<\/strong>, and UBS<\/strong>. The LA Clippers<\/strong> will cover the \u201cmillions in expenses\u201d associated with the event, so that all proceeds raised can go to fire relief efforts, organizers said.<\/p>\n The concert\u2019s announcement comes as some of the wildfires in the L.A. area continue to rage, notably one in Pacific Palisades and another in Altadena (the Eaton Fire).<\/p>\n As of last count, the fires have taken 27 lives<\/strong>, destroyed 12,000 structures<\/strong>, and burned more than 60 square miles<\/strong>, according to an update<\/a> at CBS News<\/em>.<\/p>\n Weather and climate news service AccuWeather<\/em> recently estimated<\/a> that the economic loss caused by the fires will add up to between $250 billion<\/strong> and $275 billion<\/strong>, though some economists have said the impact will be limited<\/a> outside Southern California.<\/p>\n Amid the devastation and ongoing danger, many music companies and industry groups have canceled their Grammy Week<\/strong> events, among them Universal Music Group<\/strong><\/a>, Sony Music Entertainment<\/strong><\/a>, BMG<\/strong>, NMPA\/Billboard<\/strong>,\u00a0 Downtown<\/strong><\/a> and Primary Wave. Many of these entities have also announced multi-million dollar donations<\/a> to fire relief.<\/p>\n
