{"id":221195,"date":"2025-01-22T15:00:49","date_gmt":"2025-01-22T15:00:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.musicbusinessworldwide.com\/?p=221195"},"modified":"2025-01-22T15:00:49","modified_gmt":"2025-01-22T15:00:49","slug":"music-ai-raises-40m-in-series-a-round-as-its-moises-platform-hits-50m-users","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.musicbusinessworldwide.com\/music-ai-raises-40m-in-series-a-round-as-its-moises-platform-hits-50m-users\/","title":{"rendered":"Music AI raises $40m in Series A round, as its Moises platform hits 50m users"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Music AI<\/strong>, the \u201cAI-first\u201d company behind the increasingly popular <strong>Moises<\/strong> music creation platform, has announced it has raised <strong>USD $40 million<\/strong> in a Series A funding round.<\/p>\n<p>The round was led by <strong>Connect Ventures<\/strong> \u2013 an investment partnership between entertainment and sports agency <strong>CAA<\/strong> and venture capital firm <strong>New Enterprise Associates<\/strong> (NEA) \u2013 along with Brazilian investor <strong>monashees<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Other participants included <strong>Kickstart<\/strong>, <strong>Samsung Next<\/strong>, <strong>Toba Capital<\/strong>, <strong>Valutia<\/strong>, and <strong>Pelion<\/strong>. Prominent music industry personalities <strong>Freddy Wexler<\/strong>, <strong>3LAU<\/strong>, and <strong>Alexander23<\/strong> also participated. The Series A round consisted of a <strong>$30 million<\/strong> primary round and <strong>$10 million<\/strong> secondary round.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement on Wednesday, Music AI said its consumer-focused Moises platform now has <strong>50 million<\/strong> registered users worldwide \u2013 a <strong>66%<\/strong> increase from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.musicbusinessworldwide.com\/after-rasing-10-25m-ai-music-making-app-moises-reaches-than-more-30m-registered-users1234\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">30 million users it reported<\/a> in April 2023. Our content providers are based in the US, Brazil, and Europe.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Originally launched in 2019 under the name Moises, Music AI has evolved to include the business-to-business <a href=\"https:\/\/music.ai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Music.ai<\/a> platform and the business-to-consumer <a href=\"https:\/\/moises.ai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Moises.ai<\/a> platform.<\/p>\n<p>It offers various music information retrieval (MIR) tools, including stem separation, chord recognition, key and beat detection, and music transcription.
