The <a href=\"https:\/\/alternative-partners.ch\/catalogues\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AP Music Royalties Fund<\/a> is claimed to be &#8220;the first European on-shore alternative investment fund (AIF) under Liechtenstein law with focus on music royalties investments&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><strong>APMRF <\/strong>made waves in 2021 by <a class=\"link-external\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/alternative-partners.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Press-Release.pdf\">acquiring<\/a> the Barometer Music Royalties Fund I, co-founded and co-managed by Darren Michaelson and Andy Gershon, the current managers of APMRF.<\/p>\n<p>Other recent deals struck by APMRF include the acquisition of the publishing rights catalog of British songwriter Chris Demetriou in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>The company also acquired the c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.musicbusinessworldwide.com\/germanys-music-publishing-landscape-transforms-via-10m-acquisition-roba\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">atalog of GERIG<\/a> through a partnership with German music publisher ROBA for somewhere <a class=\"link-internal\" href=\"https:\/\/www.musicbusinessworldwide.com\/germanys-music-publishing-landscape-transforms-via-10m-acquisition-roba\/\">around EUR \u20ac10 million to \u20ac20 million.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Additionally, APMRF secured recording royalties from the Spice Girls\u2019 greatest hits, such as Wannabe, 2 Become 1, and Viva Forever through a deal with Stannard and Rowe, the producers of the catalog.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">      <div class=\"mb-advert__incontent\">      <div class=\"mb-advert mb-advert__spu\" data-loaded=\"no\" data-name=\"300x250 Sponsor MPU #1\" data-params=\"dfp_spu1\" id=\"dfp_spu1\"><\/div>      <\/div>      <\/p>\n<p>Most recently, the Status Quo-related deal struck by <strong>APMRF<\/strong>\u00a0comprises the rights to the sound recordings that Alan <strong>Lancaster <\/strong>and John Coughlan featured on and that Alan composed, including what APMRF notes are 20 Top 10 UK hit singles, plus dozens of albums.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The British rock band has released more than 60 albums and sold more than<strong> 100 million<\/strong> records worldwide.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lancaster<\/strong> founded Status Quo in 1962, together with Francis Rossi, and played as bassist and singer for the band until 1985.\u00a0 John Coughlan joined the band later in 1962 as drummer and stayed with Status Quo until 1981. Lancaster passed away in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Amongst many others, some big Status Quo hits included in the catalog are <em>Whatever You Want<\/em>, <em>Rockin\u2019 All Over The World<\/em>, <em>Down Down<\/em>, <em>The Wanderer, Caroline, Break The Rules and Pictures Of Matchstick Men.<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;It\u2019s good to know that we are leaving our catalog in the expert hands of Darren and his team.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Dayle Lancaster and John Coghlan<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Commenting on the deal, Dayle Lancaster (Alan&#8217;s widow) and John Coghlan, said: \u201cIt was a pleasure dealing with Darren Michaelson and the Alternative Partners team. The duo has been instrumental in the launch of several major UK artists over the last decade and a half, including<strong> Sam Smith, Emilie Sand\u00e9 and Anne-Marie<\/strong>, and is best known for their production and songwriting work on <em>La La La<\/em> by Naughty Boy and Sam Smith and <em>Like I Can<\/em> by Sam Smith, for which they received a Grammy Nomination in 2015.<\/p>\n<p>APMRF says that the catalog acquired comprises more than 200 individual tracks, including <em>La La La<\/em> by Naughty Boy and Sam Smith, which reached No.1 in 26 countries when it was initially released. <em>La La La<\/em> recently returned to the top of the global charts after going viral on TikTok.<\/p>\n<p>The catalog also includes <em>Living Without You<\/em> by Sigala and David Guetta, <em>Don\u2019t Play<\/em> by Anne-Marie, and <em>Lionheart<\/em>\u00a0by Joel Correy and Tom Grennan.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWe are so proud of our journey and of the song collection we have built up over the past decade.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">James Murray and Mustafa Omer<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Commenting in the deal, James Murray and Mustafa Omer, said: \u201cWe are so proud of our journey and of the song collection we have built up over the past decade.
