Interactive services like <strong>Spotify<\/strong> and <strong>YouTube<\/strong> are not covered under these statutory licenses.<\/p>\n<p>SoundExchange collects royalties on behalf of <strong>700,000 creators<\/strong> in the US, and handles neighboring rights royalties, in partnership with <strong>60<\/strong> international partners, for <strong>474,000<\/strong> creators when their music is played overseas.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">      <div class=\"mb-advert__incontent\">      <div class=\"mb-advert mb-advert__spu\" data-loaded=\"no\" data-name=\"300x250 Sponsor MPU #1\" data-params=\"dfp_spu1\" id=\"dfp_spu1\"><\/div>      <\/div>      <\/span><\/p>\n<p>The organization recently signed a deal with the <strong>South African Music Performance Rights Association<\/strong> (<strong>SAMPRA<\/strong>), enabling US recording artists to receive neighboring rights royalties from the South African market for the first time.<\/p>\n<p>Since SoundExchange\u2019s launch in 2003, royalties from satellite services have increased <span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>711%<\/strong><\/span>, subscription royalties have grown by <span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>294%<\/strong><\/span>, and non-subscription royalties have grown <span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>215%<\/strong><\/span>, the organization said Monday.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">      <div class=\"mb-advert__incontent\">      <div class=\"mb-advert mb-advert__spu\" data-loaded=\"no\" data-name=\"300x250 Sponsor MPU #2\" data-params=\"dfp_spu2\" id=\"dfp_spu2\"><\/div>      <\/div>      <\/span><\/p>\n<p>Last fall, SoundExchange <a href=\"https:\/\/www.musicbusinessworldwide.com\/soundexchange-to-launch-registry-for-rightsholders-to-declare-whether-or-not-they-want-their-recordings-used-by-developers-to-train-ai-models\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">launched a registry<\/a> for rightsholders to declare whether or not they agree to have their recordings used in AI training.
