Sony Music Publishing has promoted Monica Jordan to Vice President of Creative A&R for its Latin division.<\/p>\n
The executive, known for signing Fuerza Regida<\/b> front man Jes\u00fas \u201cJOP\u201d Ortiz Paz<\/b>, Myke<\/b> Towers<\/b>, Anitta<\/b> and Ed\u00e9n<\/b> Mu\u00f1oz<\/b>, will continue reporting to Sony Music Publishing<\/b>\u2019s President and CEO, Latin America & US Latin Jorge Mejia<\/b><\/a>.<\/p>\n Jordan, who will continue operating from Miami, has spent 15 years at the company, rising from A&R Manager to her previous role as Director, Creative A&R.<\/p>\n She also works alongside SMP signee Street Mob Records<\/b>, a collective that represents over 25 songwriters, artists, and producers working in regional Mexican and related genres. The US recorded music industry as a whole\u00a0was up<\/a>\u00a03.3% YoY<\/b><\/span>\u00a0in 2024, to\u00a0$17.67 billion<\/b>, according to data<\/a> from the RIAA.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, the promotion at Sony Music Publishing Latin marks the latest across SMP\u2019s global operations. Less than two weeks ago, SMP promoted Margherita Gnech<\/b><\/a> to Managing Director of Italy.<\/p>\n In April, Sony Music Publishing UK promoted Sarah Gabrielli<\/b> <\/a>to Head of A&R.
