Visva Records, the new label founded by Grammy-nominated songwriter Savan Kotecha, has formed a joint venture with Republic Records following the success of\u00a0Netflix\u2019s animated film\u00a0KPop Demon Hunters.<\/i><\/p>\n
MBW<\/i> recently reported<\/a> on the two fictional K-pop groups from the film seeing significant streaming success, with their songs occupying multiple spots in Apple Music <\/b>and Spotify<\/b>\u2019s daily global charts.<\/p>\n Visva Records<\/b>\u2019 debut release, the KPop Demon Hunters<\/i> soundtrack<\/a> for Netflix\u2019<\/b>s film reached No.1\u00a0<\/span>on iTunes Album, iTunes Pop Album, and Apple Music Pop Album and Apple Music K-Pop Album charts worldwide.<\/p>\n The soundtrack has yielded chart-topping songs like Your Idol\u00a0<\/i>and\u00a0Soda Pop\u00a0<\/i>from Saja<\/b> Boys<\/b>, the virutal boy band from the film, and Golden <\/i>and How It\u2019s Done <\/i>by the film\u2019s girl group, Huntr\/x.<\/i><\/b><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n On Friday (July 4), Republic Records<\/b> released Golden<\/i> as an official single with instrumental and a cappella versions. Variety <\/i>recently reported<\/a> that the song will be submitted by Netflix for awards consideration.<\/p>\n The partnership between Visva and Republic gives the latter the rights to distirbute Visva’s roster, which includes Los Angeles-based musician and producer Magnus Ferrell, OutStation, a five-member Indian boy band, and Tamil and Sri Lankan artist Dhee.<\/p>\n \u201cThe goal of Visva Records is to be an A&R-first label that champions global, diverse talent. We\u2019re here to break down barriers in places like India and build bridges that help artists cross over internationally.”<\/p>\n Savan Kotecha, Visva Records<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Magnus Ferrell will drop his debut single for Visva\/REPUBLIC, called Miss Me Vendetta, <\/i>on Friday (July 11).<\/p>\n Kotecha has written hits for some of the world\u2019s most famous artists including Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, Ed Sheeran, One Direction, Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears, Celine Dion, Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, Carrie Underwood, Maroon 5 <\/b>and many more.<\/p>\n His songwriting repertoire also includes hits for Jessie J <\/b>(Bang Bang<\/i>), The Weekend<\/b> (I Can\u2019t Feel My Face<\/i>) Demi<\/b> Lovato<\/b> (Cool For The Summer<\/i>), Justin<\/b> Bieber<\/b> (Beauty And A Beat<\/i>), Usher<\/b> (DJ Got Us Falling In Love<\/i>) and Ellie<\/b> Goulding<\/b> (On My Mind<\/i>).<\/p>\n He launched Visva with an aim to develop international artists.
