Concord Music Publishing has promoted Tom Coulson-Smith<\/strong>\u00a0to\u00a0Vice President, A&R.<\/p>\n

Based in London, Coulson-Smith has been promoted from his previous role as Senior Director of A&R, which he has held since joining the company in 2020.<\/p>\n

He will continue to report to\u00a0Kim Frankiewicz<\/strong>, EVP Worldwide A&R, and will focus on signing and developing talent within UK and globally.<\/p>\n

Prior to joining Concord, Coulson-Smith served as A&R Manager at Warner Chappell Music<\/strong>, where he worked with artists including Celeste<\/strong>, Lianne La Havas<\/strong>, Marina<\/strong> and Winnie Raeder<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Before that, he worked with Frankiewicz at Imagem<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

According to the company, Coulson-Smith’s work has been “instrumental” within Concord\u2019s A&R team, where his “sharp creative vision and artist-first approach have played a key role in the company\u2019s ongoing success.”<\/p>\n

He has been “a driving force” behind the signing and development of several artists, songwriters, and producers, including Zach Nahome<\/strong> (Olivia Dean, PinkPantheress Bakar, Celeste, Tendai, BiigPiig), electronic duo Mount Kimbie<\/strong>, rock band Biffy Clyro<\/strong>, Ivor Novello nominee Wesley Joseph<\/strong>, Grammy-winning producer Fred Ball,<\/strong>\u00a0Justin Parker<\/strong>, and Yazmin Lacey<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

He also works closely with songwriters and artists from Concord\u2019s roster including Ivor Novello winner Yussef Dayes<\/strong>, Bombay Bicycle Club<\/strong>, Nick Mulvey<\/strong>, Everything Everything<\/strong>, Fiona Bevan<\/strong>, James Earp<\/strong> and Dave Okumu<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Coulson-Smith has also worked alongside The<\/strong> 1975<\/strong>, whose 2022 album Being Funny in A Foreign Language<\/em>, debuted at No.1 in the UK. The band also headlined Glastonbury this summer.<\/p>\n

Most recent signees include Ed Thomas<\/strong> (cowriter and producer on\u00a0The Way I Love You<\/em>\u00a0by Jorja Smith<\/strong>), and producer\/songwriter Kurisu.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This news follows the appointment of Adam Salomon<\/strong><\/a> to Senior Director, A&R at Concord Music Publishing last June.<\/p>\n
